Getting Older And Breasts Sagging? 2 Options You Have To Lift Them Up

When you are young your breasts are uplifted. As you age, however, your breasts will start to sag due to gravity. Fortunately, there are many things you can do to help you feel better about yourself, including the two things below:

Breast Implants

Breast implants, also known as breast augmentation, is a procedure done by a licensed doctor to increase the shape, size, or the fullness of your breast.

There are different types of implants the doctor will offer you. One type is saline implants, which is filled with a saline solution. It holds in place in place with a silicone shell. The doctor inserts the saline into the breast implant after it is inserted until the plant is the right size and shape. One main benefit of saline implants is if they start leaking your body will naturally absorb the saline without causing you any harm.

Another type of breast implant is known as silicone gel-filled implants. The only drawback to this type of implant is if the gel leaks out it will either stay inside the implant or it will leak outside of the implant. Your breasts will then become hard and sore. If you choose this type, you should get regular ultrasounds or MRI scans to ensure the implants are in good condition. Because you want to lift your breasts the implant should not be too big or it will weigh your breasts down. For this reason, do not expect to enlarge your breasts a great deal.

Breast Lift

If you do not want to get breast implants, you can get a breast lift instead.  This procedure can make your breasts firm and perky, and give them a better shape. The doctor first removes excess sagging skin under the breasts and then stretches the skin. This allows them to reshape your breasts and raise your nipples to where they should be.

There are different types of breast lift procedures you can choose from. One type is known as the peri-areolar lift. This is best used if you have mild sagging. The doctor makes an incision running along the edge of your areola to remove sagging tissue.

The third type of breast lift is known as the vertical lift. This type works well if you have more moderate sagging. The doctor will make two small incisions around the edge of your areola and another incision that runs vertically starting from your areola to the breast fold.

An anchor lift is used if you have extensive breast sagging. The surgeon will remove sagging tissue and skin. They will make three incisions on your breasts. One incision is around your areola, one that runs vertically from the areola to the breast fold, and another along the breast crease.

The surgeon can go over these two procedures with you in much more detail so you can make the best choice of which one is right for you. Check out a website like http://www.medilasersurgery.com for more information and assistance.

About Me

Accidents Happen: A Guide to Children's Emergencies

One of the things I learned when I had children was that accidents can happen at any time. Unfortunately, my children's pediatrician was not always available when those accidents did happen. I had to learn what was considered an emergency and what could wait until the doctor's office was open. Knowing the difference and what to do in non-emergency situations can be confusing. That is why I created this blog. I wanted to provide other parents with a guide that helps them to understand when it is time to head for urgent care or the hospital and when injuries could be treated at home.
